The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Inspired By Queen — The Good Vibes Only Roadshow
From contest to contest, came a few very interested management agencies.
This is when my wife Jackie and I, set forth on a trip to Nashville to record my first album.
Many talented song writers pitched me many songs, to help me along. I write my own songs as well, but I wanted a variety and a different perspective for my first album.
We spent one month in Nashville, TN, and met a lot of great and talented people; it was an amazing experience. We were fortunate to have been able to attend the CMA’s while we were there, which fueled me even more. We also took in the sites, and experienced Music Row.
Everywhere we went, it seemed everyone was an aspiring singer and they were all very good I might add. They had mastered their own craft.
If anything, I could say if nothing else, I followed my dream and took and chance on me. For all who enjoy my music, I am truly grateful and I thank you all!
I’ve been in many singing contests; the first contest I was in, was in elementary school. I was 7 years old and I sang, “The Gambler”, by Kenny Rogers. I ended up winning the talent show; the entire school started calling me, “Little Kenny.”
I believe this is where I got the bug to start singing. Could I be a singer? Did I have the gift to entertain others?
There were many other contests; I won a few and some I didn’t, but I never finished below 3rd place in any contest.
The most memorable contest was when I was ranked 1st in the Country, in the “Country” category, and was in the top 5 in all genres. This show consisted of many talent agencies and record labels judging. This was very satisfying, which helped to encourage me to go further.
Stardom doesn’t happen easy for some; I have fallen under that category, however it hasn’t stopped me.
